Associate Pastor- Jake Wynne
Jake began his ministry as associate pastor at FCC in 2026. He has lived in Roanoke Rapids, NC since birth and has been attending FCC from childhood. Jake graduated from Mid-Atlantic Christian University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministry.
In his free time, Jake enjoys running, reading books, and spending time with his family. He currently lives in Roanoke Rapids with his father, Kirk; his mother, Heather; and his two younger siblings- his sister, Abby and his brother, Luke.
Justin Fender-
Youth Minister
Justin is originally from Colonial Heights, VA, and a graduate of Campbell University. Justin has 17 years of Ministry experience, and he is also a full time Art Teacher at Belmont Elementary School here in our community.
Justin enjoys being outside, working on bikes, cars, and everything in between, as well as going on adventures in the river! Justin and his wife Donna have lived in Roanoke Rapids the past 14 years with their children Cailee, Austin, and Sara.
Nancy Landen-
Office Administrator
Nancy has served at FCC since 2005. Nancy covers a variety of roles with a servant's attitude. She not only is the office administrator, but she also has a heart for people that is evident. She helps to lead in several areas including benevolence, hospitality, women's ministries, and finances.
Nancy and her husband are involved with many aspects of the church, as well as with our local Boys and Girls club. Nancy has a love for animals and animal rescue. If you ever want to bring a puppy up to the office for her to meet, she would appreciate that.
Tracey Hedrick- Director of Children's Ministries
Tracey has been a member of First Christian Church for 28 years and has been actively
involved in Children’s Ministry as a volunteer for most of that time. She joined the FCC staff in 2012 serving as Director of Children’s Ministries. She is originally from Danville, Va.
She earned her B.S. degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in 1988. She earned her National Board Certification in Teaching in 2013. Tracey taught in the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District for 31 years before retiring in 2020.
Tracey loves all things related to the ARTS including music, drama, and dance. She loves hanging out at the pool in her free time. She has two dogs (Lola and Buster) who also keep her very busy. She loves all animals, children, and the beach. The thing that warms her heart and makes her smile is hearing children sing from their heart as they praise God at church.
Kitty Archer-
Director of Worship Ministries
Kitty has served as our Part-time Director of Worship Ministries since 2012. She is a native of Roanoke Rapids and has attended FCC for many years. Her husband, Randy, is also a vital part of the worship ministry at FCC. Kitty graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Barton College. Kitty is a retired teacher from Chaloner Middle School.
In her spare time, Kitty enjoys spending time with her two college age children, Taylor and Madison. She also enjoys reading, exercising, playing with her two dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
